Alkalising to Fight Chronic Fatigue (CFS/ME)

English Spiniach - YUM!

Burping, bloating and reflux have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.  It wasn’t until I started investigating health and CFS/ME that I found out that it isn’t actually normal!  To think I’d gone along my merry way all this time thinking these was normal bodily functions – my poor friends and family.  LOL.  Well normal they may be, but definitely not necessary! Overall health I think is about holistic health, and I’ve used … Continue reading

Clearing Emotion on the CFS/ME Journey

Exploration on the journey of life

What if we could heal ourselves?  Similarly to Louise Hays, Brandon Bays believes that we can evoke healing of our own bodies by clearing emotions held at the cellular level.  Just in case this is possible, I thought I’d better give it a go…. Initially I found out about The Journey through my naturopath who loaned me her copy of Brandon Bays book called ‘The Journey’.  I can’t recall exactly why she loaned it at the time, but I believe … Continue reading

Healthy Digestion for Fighting CFS/ME

Is the food and supplementation your taking actually being absorbed by your body?  I found I needed to sort out my digestive system first before any of the food or supplementation could really make a difference.  Many people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), also suffer digestive problems which can affect the whole energy system of the body. In the early days of my discovery I was in a pretty bad habit of eating sugary foods like icecream … Continue reading

The Slight Edge for Daily Resolve to Fight CFS/ME

Working the slight edge to success

How easy it is to know the basic theory of recovery – pace yourself, regular exercise, eat well, take supplements etc etc – but how difficult it is to actually put it into practice.  That’s my story! In fact, I’m sorry it’s been over a month now since my last blog.  Doh! Time has got away from me.  I’ve been working on a new business venture which has taken my eye off the Green Girl ball… just temporarily.  But I’m … Continue reading

Light relief: Thirty something and over it!

thirty-something-and-over-it

I loved this book by Kasey Edwards…..’Thirty something and over it: what happens when you wake up and don’t want to go to work….ever again?’.  Classic!  Who hasn’t felt like that! I can relate to it from so many moments in the past.  Don’t get me wrong I’ve loved many aspects of my jobs, but many times I’ve felt that there had to be more to my life than doing well on the treadmill.  I knew whatever the answer was … Continue reading

Meditation, the one-stop-shop for CFS/ME relief

Meditation

Unfortunately there is no magic cure for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (CFS/ME), how I wish there was, but meditation does offer a one-stop-shop for the relief of a lot of CFS/ME symptoms.  It’s one of the ‘best bang-for-buck’ tactics for fighting CFS/ME that I know of, so it’s worth a shot! Daily meditation helps to reduce anxiety, mind chatter and negative emotions, and improve positive emotions, self-esteem, sleep and digestion amongst many things.  The main things that meditation … Continue reading
